Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora occasionally stylized as AURORA is an Norwegian artist and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 and was praised by both music bloggers as well as from the media. She has previously recorded two highly-regarded covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway with her voice, gave it some more recognition. Honor her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft and being fascinated by the music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music not to get the purpose of a career or as just a pastime, but for the sake of growing. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. She decided to start performing her music in public when her mom suggested it could aid people in to not become famous through her work but to make everyone else realize the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. In the age of 6 She began playing on the piano. When she turned nine when she began to write songs. The family did not know about it until she reached fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. She says she just likes music and writing. To her, music is the most effective way for expressing anything.
